Stay Rottnest Accommodation Refurbishment

This extensive program involves the refurbishment of Rottnest Island Authority’s accommodation offerings and focuses on enhancing the comfort and service level of various accommodation types.

Overview

Most accommodation on Rottnest Island is operated by Rottnest Island Authority (RIA) via  Stay Rottnest, which includes self-contained units and villas. These properties, strategically located around the coastline of the island, are set to undergo significant refurbishments. The project includes the renovation of kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms, installation of new flooring, replacement of aging windows and doors, new internal painting, and courtyard amenity upgrades.

The South Thomson accommodation precinct upgrade has already been completed, and further renovations are in the planning phase.

The Stay Rottnest accommodation enhancement is a key priority of the Rottnest Island Management Plan 2023-28. The project also aligns with RIA's strategy to maintain high standards while exploring private investment opportunities for new large-scale offerings, ensuring the future sustainability and appeal of the island's accommodations.
