Ablutions Upgrade Program

The program focuses on enhancing the public toilet facilities across Rottnest Island, a crucial aspect of the visitor experience.

Overview

The Ablutions Upgrade Program involves both new constructions and refurbishments of existing ablution facilities, from the settlement out to West End. The initiative addresses the ageing infrastructure, with many facilities over 30 years old and requiring significant improvements.

Accessibility is a key focus of the program, ensuring facilities cater to all visitors. The program also incorporates aesthetic improvements to the surrounding landscapes, contributing to an overall better visitor experience.

The project has already seen the completion of facilities in several key areas, with future upgrades scheduled for other important locations.
