Rottnest Island bakery mural features some furry friends

There are five creatures hidden in the Rottnest Bakery.

The local animals are part of a new mural on the Bakery’s wall completed by UK artist Trisha Holmes late last year.
Brindle Group general manager Dale Dwyer said the artist spent four nights in the shop completing the mural.
“People have been coming in first thing in the morning and it’s been a talking point,” Mr Dwyer said.
“It’s generated a lot of interest and it’s been fun for the kids.”
The concept came about when Bakery owner Greg Brindle was in London talking to friends about his Rottnest business and idea to “bring the outside inside” through a mural.
Mr Brindle was then introduced to the artist who made the idea reality.
