Swimmers ready for the Channel 7 Port to Pub
The second of two annual long-distance swims to Rottnest Island – the Channel 7 Port to Pub - takes place this Saturday 20 March.
The event comprises two races starting at Leighton Beach and finishing at the Hotel Rottnest:
- A 20km swim open to solos, duos and teams of four and six, and
- A 25km ultra-marathon swim for qualified solo swimmers.
The first swimmers are expected to arrive at the Island at around 11am and the celebrations, including award presentations, will commence at 5pm at Hotel Rottnest.
The best vantage points to see the participants arrive are:
- The Hotel Jetty,
- Hotel Rottnest, and
- South Thomson Beach, in front of Samphire Rottnest.
Visitors are reminded that Island venues are operating on reduced capacity in adherence to current COVID 19 safety guidelines.

Parking and train replacement service
Spectators are encouraged to leave plenty of time to find parking at the ferry terminals before departure.
For visitors departing from B-Shed Fremantle, additional parking will be available at South Metropolitan TAFE Fremantle Campus. Alternatively, consider departing from Northport (North Fremantle).
