Rottnest Island Management Plan 2023-28 review continues

The public consultation process for the Rottnest Island Management Plan 2023-28 (RIMP) has now closed.

Over the past eight weeks, RIA has received submissions on the draft RIMP 2023-28, with a diverse range of stakeholders sharing their thoughts and ideas regarding the management and development of Wadjemup / Rottnest Island for the next five years.

The comprehensive feedback and valuable contributions from the community, visitors, island businesses and Traditional Owners will be analysed and will contribute to the final RIMP 2023-28. We are grateful for the considered responses and active participation of everyone involved in the process.

The new management plan, which is expected to be released in July 2023, aims to enhance visitor experience, with a renewed focus on visitor experience, amenity and the island’s environmental and cultural heritage value. The RIMP will focus on key initiatives designed to renew existing island services, deliver dynamic and sustainable infrastructure change, while conserving the island's spectacular natural attributes.
