Wadjemup Cup 2017

More than 100 Clontarf students descended on Rottnest Island over the weekend for the 2017 Wadjemup Cup.

Wadjemup Cup, hosted by Rottnest Island Authority, is an opportunity for Clontarf Football Academy students from across the State to compete in a round robin AFL football competition held on the Island’s Sports Oval.
Flying pack marks, long bombs, dashing sprints, passionate coaching and inspired commentating from the boundary – the day had it all.

Minister for Tourism Paul Papalia was also in attendance and had the honour of tossing the coin for the feature game between students and corporate partners.

Wadjemup Cup is a great way for WA Clontarf Football Academy participants to celebrate their success throughout the year by playing the sport they love.

It is also a great opportunity for the Clontarf participants to learn about the culture and heritage of Rottnest Island and for some students, it is even the first time they will go to the beach and see the Ocean.
