Rottnest Island ready to reopen

Rottnest Island will reopen to visitors from 6 June 2020!

The Island, which played an important part in the State Government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, will again welcome visitors to experience the Aussie way of life with friends and family in stunning natural surroundings. 

The Rottnest Island Authority (RIA) is working closely with the Island’s business community to prepare for the reopening of the Island including ensuring all activities and businesses operate in accordance with COVID-19 safety requirements.

Major works to enhance the Island’s infrastructure continues with a $3 million redevelopment of the Fuel Jetty and a $5 million upgrade of key roads for the island Settlement scheduled to commence in July.

Other maintenance and greening programs are ongoing in South Thomson and Bathurst.
