Get Quokka Happy

Rottnest Island Authority has commenced a new marketing campaign to encourage Western Australians to holiday on to the Island.

The ‘Get Quokka Happy’ campaign, launched by the Minister for Tourism the Hon Paul Papalia on July 3, seeks to make the Island even more enticing for Western Australians for a ‘day’ or a ‘stay’ in the coming months.

The campaign includes a ‘20 Rotto Dollars’ promotion, enabling adult day visitors in July and August to redeem vouchers at local Island businesses including activities, tours, and food and beverage operators.   

For overnight visitors, island admission fees will be waived from July 20 until the end of August.

There has also been a change to accommodation bookings where new bookings will no longer require full payment up front. Visitors now only need to make a deposit of 25% with the balance payable 30 days prior to arrival.

The ‘Get Quokka Happy’ campaign is a joint initiative of the Rottnest Island Chamber of Commerce and RIA to support the reopening of the Island and its business community.
